What you will do As a Senior Software Data Engineer, you will be joining the technical team responsible for the design and implementation of a multi-tenant SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform for real-time feedback of patients. The entire platform runs on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and is being refactored to fully embrace the AWS SAM (Serverless Application Model). You will be responsible for the delivery of platform backend features. You will work with our scrum-based team and will be involved in all aspects of the software development process including architecture, design, and implementation. As a senior technical member of the team, you will provide architecture and design guidance, as well as mentorship, to junior team members. You will also be responsible for the support of our legacy applications. What you need * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with pertinent certifications * 8+ years' experience working on a professional development team, including software delivery of client/customer facing applications * Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization including fundamental understanding of underlying network/disk IO using Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, etc. * Experience developing using commercial-grade ETL technologies such as Informatica, DataStage, Pentaho PDI/Kettle, Microsoft SSIS, etc. * Professional exposure to using high-end MPP/SN storage technologies such as Vertica, Redshift, Tera-Aster, Netezza, HADOOP, etc. * Professional exposure to designing and implementing file-based data pipeline such as HDFS, AWS S3, etc. * Experience designing & developing entire data warehousing architecture including data integration, database schema designs, dimensional data modeling, and reporting/visualization * Expert ability to autonomously install, configure, administer, upgrade and troubleshoot all software needed for development * Experienc
