Swedish Medical Center RN - Wound Care in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (0.9, Days) to work for the Wound Care department at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients with ileostomies, colostomies, and urinary diversions
Function as a consultant for patients with altered skin integrity, including pressure ulcers and complicated wounds
Perform assessments, plan patient care, provide direct care, and educate and orient families and staff
Use knowledge of human growth and development to modify services to the age and development stage of the patient
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Must obtain WOCN within 2 years of hire date, if not certified on hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certification by the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN)
Current BLS certification
Experience managing simple and complex wounds and ostomies
