We are looking for a Charge Registered Nurse to join Bailey-Boushay House, a nationally recognized model for HIV care. Bailey-Boushay House opened in 1992 as America's first skilled nursing facility that was planned, funded, built and staffed to meet the needs of people living with AIDS. Virginia Mason — a nationally-recognized health care provider — has operated Bailey-Boushay House since the day they opened, ensuring those who come here receive the highest quality care available.

Responsibilities of the BBH Charge RN includes:

  • Planning, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions during an assigned shift.

  • Coordinating the activities of the unit

  • Directing, organizing and assigning work to the nursing staff to ensure optimal flow and utilization of resources to meet demand for services with available staff.

  • Addressing patient care or service problems as necessary. Clinically competent for patient populations served.

  • Clinically competent for the patient populations served.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Washington.

  • CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.

  • Four years clinical experience in a long-term care/nursing home or acute care setting required.

  • Demonstrated skill in prioritizing the demands of daily operations and organizing required resources.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program, preferred. Experience in HIV/AIDS nursing preferred. Experience in a lead/charge capacity desirable.
