Seattle Children's Hospital Registered Nurse-Ortho Clinic (1.0 FTE, Temporary) in Seattle, Washington

The Orthopedics clinic cares for a wide variety of patients from children with simple fractures to children with complex orthopedic needs. Orthopedics has several subspecialties including skeletal dysplasia, scoliosis, cerebral palsy, bone lesions and foot deformities to name a few. The clinic helps to educate families on complex orthopedic surgeries as well as non-operative management of several conditions. Our comprehensive interdisciplinary team includes MDs, PAs, NP’s, nurses, MA’s, orthopedic technicians as well as physical therapists and orthotists. Our nursing team supports all of our providers in both direct patient care and in the back office. Direct patient care includes complex care coordination, preoperative and post-operative teaching and family support. Our back office roles focus on telephone triage and “after-visit” care coordination. Our nurses often find a niche in subspecialties but are expected to gain a great fund of general orthopedic knowledge.
