Seattle Children's Hospital Registered Nurse- Nephrology Clinic (0.8 FTE, D/E, Temporary) in Seattle, Washington
Nephrology provides comprehensive treatment that specializes in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients with congenital or acquired diseases of the kidney and hypertension. These services are provided to patients within the WAMI area from birth to 21 years of age.
This includes disorders affecting the kidney and urinary tract, disturbances of mineral metabolism, kidney failure, high blood pressure, inherited kidney diseases, kidney stones, urinary tract infections and abnormalities in the urine such as blood and protein.
Nephrology provides the following services:
· Kidney transplantation
· Kidney biopsies
· The interpretation of x-ray studies of the kidney
· The interpretation of laboratory studies related to kidney disease
· Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Two (2) years of current RN experience OR one (1) year of current RN experience in an inpatient unit, Ambulatory clinic, Emergency Room, or Urgent Care.
Current Washington State RN License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions. Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Recent Pediatric nursing experience.
Recent Ambulatory nursing experience.
Recent Nephrology nursing experience.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and function efficiently and safely in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate Artfully in both verbal and written communications.
