Swedish Medical Center Patient Financial Advocate- Medical Oncology in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Financial Advocate (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Medical Oncology at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Patient Financial Advocate identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients, which also includes but is not limited to, patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collections.
In this position you will:
Assure that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner.
Make financial arrangements and secure payment for services rendered.
Protect reimbursement for services by assisting patients with payment plans and options.
Interview patients and/or families to determine funding sources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's degree. Additional experience may substitute for degree
Experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office
