Director, Perioperative Services Job ID2018-26525Area of Interest Management/Administration Location Name Hospital Main Campus FTE/Hours per pay period 1.0 FTE (80 hours per bi-weekly pay periods) Work Status Regular Department OR Admin Shift Day Shift Overview Develop, manage, implement and evaluate all aspects of Peri-Operative Services within the Seattle Children’s system. Strategically develop systems to support effective operations for the Peri-Operative Services clinical and business operations by ensuring both quality and service targets are met or exceeded. Provide leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the services including programmatic components of operations, facilities, capital and operating budgets and staffing . Provide consultation and business expertise to administrative and physician leadership. Develop and implement improvements to financial performance of the department including benchmarking and the development and evaluation of business plans for existing and new programs. Partner with academic and clinical leadership to expand the business expertise of the service. Apply the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate interactions with colleagues and/or patients and families of all ages. Partners with Operative Services Clinical Practice Leader to ensure operational efficiency and leverage new opportunities. Uses Lean methodology in all aspects of the work. Manage special projects that contribute to development of the department. Requirements Required Education/Experience: - Masters degree in Business Administration, Nursing Administration, or Health Care Administration is required. - Ten years of recent experience with demonstrated knowledge and leadership qualities. - Experience with Ambulatory Surgery, Perioperative services, and operational responsibility for a patient care department with a large scope.
