Seattle Children's Hospital APP Fellowship - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Seattle, Washington
The APP Fellowship is designed for new graduates of pediatric or family nurse practitioner or PA programs who are interested in-depth post graduate training in a pediatric subspecialty.
This is a limited term, one year position, benefits eligible (excluding relocation assistance), including a $2500/year fund for professional expenses and continuing education fees. Salary is $75,000/year, and if hired into a permanent position will be awarded a $15,000 bonus.

The APP fellowship combines:

Didactic opportunities, including lecture, simulation and case-based learning
The year-long fellowship:
Provides a comprehensive introduction to family-integrated pediatric healthcare at Seattle Children’s
Is structured so fellows’ time is spent:
70% doing the work with feedback
20% learning by observing others
10% on didactic, including evidence-based best practices
Provides a minimum of 1,500 mentored clinical hours with specific feedback tailored to your goals
Introduces you to Seattle Children’s workplace culture and processes
Includes participation in an improvement project using Seattle Children’s resources for clinical quality and innovation
Practices 360-degree evaluation, inviting feedback from you on mentors and the fellowship program
Is designed to increase your clinical independence as the program progresses
Required Education/Experience: - Master’s degree or higher in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program. - One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area. Required Credentials: - Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington. - Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner. - Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration. - At time of hire: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required. Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position. (ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.) - Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider, Seattle Children’s Hospital. - Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment. All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year. - Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's. Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children’s as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.
