Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Lead On-Call position Monroe CorrectionalComplex(MCC) Monroe, WA The Department of Corrections is seeking highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Lead for theMonroe Correctional Complex(MCC)located in Monroe, WA. This job posting will be used to fill one On Call position but maybe used to fill other positions if the became available during this recruitment cycle. The Monroe Correctional Complex (MCC) is a 2400 bed male all-custody level facility located 30 miles northeast of Seattle.The complex consists of four units; the original "reformatory", a large mental health inpatient treatment unit, a sex offender treatment unit and a minimum custody unit that also houses community corrections violators, much like a jail.Monroe is considered the hub of medical and psychiatric care for DOC.It is located close to University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center. MCC provides care for the sickest and most complicated patients in our system. Duties The positions primary responsibilities are: Examines patients and diagnoses their illnesses; recommends and administers routine medical treatment; refers difficult and complex cases to the supervising physician and assists in further examination, diagnosis and treatment of such cases; Orders and interprets laboratory examinations, analysis and x-rays; writes prescriptions; makes rounds of wards and reports on condition and progress of patients; Assists in instructing and supervising nurses, technicians and personnel assigned for special training; attends and participates in clinics and staff conferences on surgical, medical and mental conditions of various patients and their diagnosis and treatment; Prepares case histories, reports and related correspondence.
