Swedish Medical Center Material Distribution and Receiving Technician - Materials Service Center in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Material Distribution and Receiving Technician (0.6FTE, Rotating/Variable) to work for Materials Service Center at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Material Distribution and Receiving Technician is responsible for utilizing a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) to conduct physical inventories, replenishment of supply areas (such as patient care and ancillary areas), and receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and prepare and coordinate outgoing parcel and freight shipments .
In this position you will:
Conduct physical inventory / par level replenishment of supply areas, such as patient care and ancillary areas
Deliver stock and non-stock products to the appropriate department
Process fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk up supply, linen and equipment requests
Rotates stock in MSC inventories in accordance with expiration dates and regulations
Inspects all items for damage and expiration dates whenever handling materials, both in the MSC and in other supply areas
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Professional experience with computerized Materials Management systems (MMIS)
Experience utilizing computers and software
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Taken courses in inventory and supply distribution management
Medical terminology training
Experience in healthcare environment
