Swedish Medical Center Dietitian - Diet Consultants in Edmonds, Washington

Description:

Swedish is looking for a Dietitian (Per Diem FTE, Day Shift) at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.

The Dietitian assesses nutritional needs of patients, develops and implements a nutrition care plan in order to provide quality nutritional care to all pediatric, adolescent, adult and or geriatric patients.

In this position you will:

  • Review medical records and interview patients/SO to assess and monitor their nutritional status

  • Develop nutrition programs and provide counseling to individuals and groups on nutritional principles and diet patterns

  • Document provision of nutrition care in the nutrition care plan and medical records

  • Assure provision of therapeutically correct meals by evaluating physician diet orders as needed and updating nutrition cardex each shift

  • Serve as the hospital's consultant for nutritional care issues by developing and providing staff education and attending patient care conferences

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors degree in clinical dietetics or food management

  • American Dietetic Association Registration and Washington State Certification

  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting
